We recognize that breast cancer knows no age, race or color and believe that the equality of care for all women, both medical and emotional, is paramount.

Mission in Pink, Inc. is a non-profit devoted to the fight against breast cancer. It was conceptualized by two sisters-- Danielle and Nicole Dankner, who witnessed the importance of early detection when their mother, Iris Dankner, was diagnosed with breast cancer at an early age.

As a family, Iris and her daughters began their mission...

Through fundraising and programming, Mission in Pink, Inc. seeks to promote breast cancer awareness, to raise money to help fund medical research, and to provide services to help reduce the impact of breast cancer among all women.

We emphasize the importance of bringing awareness to both our local and global communities. Our beneficiaries include:

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) and The Mount Sinai Dubin Breast Center of the Tisch Cancer Institute in New York City

Iris graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (BFA). She soon joined Federated Department Stores where she worked in the advertising department at Lord & Taylor’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. She rose to the position as an Art Director and remained there for thirteen years. She then founded her own interior design firm Iris Designs which has since evolved into ID Creations by Iris Dankner.

Iris resides in Manhattan and Southampton, New York and currently divides her time between her residential interior design work and various activities on behalf of breast cancer, her largest endeavor being her own interior design showhouse, Holiday House hosted by Mission in Pink.

Iris currently serves as a member on the Advisory Board of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) while her interior design showhouse, Holiday House, directly benefits the organization.
